Tanned skin produced using more sustainable tanning methods. These products have been produced in tanneries certified by the Leather Working Group, whose goal is to assess leather manufacturers’ compliance and environmental performance and promote more sustainable environmental practices such as the use of renewable energy and technologies that reduce water consumption. To label a leather product with Care for Planet, the tannery must be certified at least as LWG Gold or Silver, ensuring that its production meets the most demanding environmental standards set by the organization.
